Did you know that the department of World Mission has great resources for mission committees, churches and individuals?
They have a manual for those going on short term mission trips. This tool will help you/your team think through the biblical and theological reasons for doing missions. It will also make you aware of cultural sensitivities and how we might inadvertently do more harm than good if we aren't careful.
There is also a misison committee resource guide which will help committees clarify their vision, set goals, and gives assessment quesitons of the missions the church supports.
