Tireless Servant

A testimony to the legacy of Don Clarkson.
I have always felt that a person is best measured by the legacy they leave. If there is any truth to that statement, then Don Clarkson's legacy is beyond measure. CBC Canada is mourning the death and loss of our friend, Don. "Tireless servant" is the only way to describe him. On a regular basis Don would show up, work in whatever capacity was needed that day, and then head home with a cheerful smile. Though it was uncommon, at times Don would call and say he wasn't coming in because he was sick or something had come up. When that happened, we as a team we would jokingly remark how good it would be if those of us on the payroll were equally as diligent. Don was as quick with a playful remark as he was to fix whatever it was that needed attention. Over time and in little bits of conversation a mosaic of Don's journey would unfold and one would realize that his passionate love for Jesus was rooted in the deep gratitude of one who'd been snatched from the abyss by a gracious, loving, and humble Lord. Don was a gracious, loving,
and humble servant. Jesus said in John 12:26 "My Father will honor the one who serves me." Don served Jesus in the way he served here at CBC. If God Himself honors those who serve, then we can do no less than to honor the life of our friend, brother, and servant of Jesus Christ, Don Clarkson. Peace be upon his name and legacy.
