Letter from Acting President Paul Lessard
Dear sisters and brothers, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Risen One who walks alongside in this life and brings hope for the next. It is with sadness that I confirm the recommendation of the CBC board to close Covenant Bible College in it's entirety as of May 31st, 2007. Understandably, after 66 years of rich and significant ministry this decision was not reached without much prayer, dialogue, heartache and consideration of a broad range of other options.

After 66 years of rich and creative ministry Covenant Bible College will discontinue its program in any form and on all campuses effective May 31st, 2007. While the college worked hard to respond to declining enrollment over the past couple of years, due to mounting operating debt, an insufficient number of student applications and donations, it became clear it would not be possible to continue the ministry beyond the current class. Jeffrey Michael Bauer Mr. Jeffrey M.B. Bauer, age 36, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 25, 2007, going home to meet his Lord. According to his son, J.J., " He beat us in the race to Heaven." He was born in Cozad, NE on November 27, 1970 to Thomas & Annette (Krumland) Turner & married the former Lori Anne Bush on October 16, 1999. Mr. Bauer had been employed as a LPN at University Park. Tireless Servant

A testimony to the legacy of Don Clarkson.
I have always felt that a person is best measured by the legacy they leave. If there is any truth to that statement, then Don Clarkson's legacy is beyond measure. CBC Canada is mourning the death and loss of our friend, Don. "Tireless servant" is the only way to describe him. On a regular basis Don would show up, work in whatever capacity was needed that day, and then head home with a cheerful smile.
