09 Canada Covenant AGM Friday night we met again as a family, Cody and the worship team led us in worship of the one who is worthy of our praise, our Lord and Savior.
After worship Dr. Mano told us a story of Rose who came to him seeking health and needing surgery. This dirty little girl came and touched his life. She came needing him for health and he needed her to change him once again, to bring health to his thinking.
09 Canada Covenant AGMThen Yohanna spoke on justice from the gospel of John on the passage where Jesus turned the water to wine. He said for John Jesus Christ is the center of Justice in the gospel. As he told his conversion story of how God touched him and changed him from an atheist to giving himself fully to the Lord. He shared three points on justice.

1) Justice has to be related to a personal transformation.
2) Jesus transforms a problem into a blessing.
3) Jesus changed a request into a revelation.
Yohanna said the center of Justice is found in the cross. It is found in the love of God and when we are pursuing justice we can’t do it without the love of Christ. He concluded with “brothers and sisters changed by Jesus, come to the source of our power, Jesus Christ.

09 Canada Covenant AGMOn Saturday night we went out to a great banquet and concert and Doug Guzman had this to say. "This is my first time in an Annual Conference, and I can honestly say that I really enjoy every event. The Saturday night Banquet was another event to remember from the food to the conversation with people, it’s always a great blessing to meet covenant brothers and 09 Canada Covenant AGMsisters in Christ, and this time was not an exception. Food’s taste and variety was top notch, organization and timing were splendid.

After the banquet we proceeded to the concert with Jon Buller, which was amazing how God moved thru music. I didn’t grow up in a Christian home so I was never exposed to hymns. But after this conference and the concert, I really appreciate and enjoy the old hymns. As a musician it was great to listen to the different arrangements done to hymns, but the lyrics were just amazing and powerful as they were hundreds of years ago."
